Fuzzy images with Folwell
Jonathan Miller
Hello,
No rush on this–just working on some website stuff before the holiday break.
We've noticed that when you apply an image style in the CKEditor, like in the test post below which has the image at Folwell 50% right justified, it makes the image fuzzy. Is there anyway to correct this?
For reference, I placed the same image at the bottom of the post without any styling and you can see that it is larger, but sharper:

Hi Jonathan,
The problem primarily lies in the overall design of the image. The blurriness can be attributed to two key factors. First, the font choice plays a significant role. When scaled down to 50%, the thin lines of the font become distorted, reducing its clarity. Second, the use of white font on a dark background worsens the issue. At 50% reduction, the thinner parts of the font blend into the background, further compromising legibility. The only way to fix this issue is to increase the font size so when it's reduced the font will maintain it's correct form.

Charlot Meyer Ah, ok. I thought when I applied the folwell 50% image style it maybe did some behind the scenes image downsizing in the background that made it fuzzier. I did a version with less text that is bolder and it still doesn't look great.
It wouldn't matter if it was a vector SVG file would it? It doesn't look like I am allowed to upload an SVG file to the site to try. Is that possible?

Jonathan Miller Let me check.

Looks like CKEditor doesn't accept svg. PNG is the best over JPG.
